This special tour visits some of the most hidden places in Hungary, using just two bases each for 4 days, Aggtelek National Park & Bükk Hills, two of the richest areas in Central Europe for a bird & butterfly-quest:
9 Woodpecker species, Eagle and Ural Owl, Imperial, Golden, Lesser Spotted and Short-toed Eagle, plus Saker Falcon. The butterfly species list contains almost 200 species. Some of the endemics or special variations can be found just here. Dragonfly list amounts to 65 species.

in a small and tranquil village

In one of the valleys alone, all nine Hungarian Hairstreaks occur and there is also a long list of Blues. Barred, Grasshopper, Marsh and River Warblers inhabit these valleys which are important Corncrake habitats. Black Storks search for food in the wet meadows in woodland areas.
A few miles away north we will look for Hungarian Glider, Peacock, Purple Emperor, Duke of Burgundy, Silver-washed Fritillary, High Brown Fritillary, Camberwell Beauty, Map, Chestnut Heath and have a chance of Pallas's Fritillary.
